You will focus on servicing the Group level financial reporting requirements and form close working relationships with the wider Finance team, as well as the Finance Directors and Controllers across the Hiscox business units. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of high-quality Group consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial, statutory and regulatory reporting deliverables to both internal and external stakeholders in compliance with IFRS and Solvency II regulatory guidance. Maintain and enhance the financial control environment with regards to Group reporting activities and the broader financial control framework. Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholders relationshipsStreamline, automate and enhance finance processes, by leveraging technology enablers, personal experience, external insights and best practice.Support the development of a continuous improvement culture utilising external insights and best practice. Actively support both Finance and Group-wide projects relevant to the roleSupport a culture of excellence across the wider Financial Control teamSkills/ Qualifications/ Experience require:Fully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)Good technical and financial reporting knowledge within the financial services sector (preferably the insurance sector)Ability to constructively challenge and analyse resultsHands on approach and a keen eye for detailStrong control mindset and experienceGood problem solving skillsA pragmatic decision makerEnthusiastic, curious with a ‘can-do’ attitudeReporting Relationships/ Interactions:Reports to the Head of Group ReportingMaintain constructive and supportive professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders including Business Unit finance teams, and external auditors.About HiscoxAs an international specialist insurer we are far removed from the world of mass market insurance products.
