Senior Financial Accountant
Location: Leicester Salary £60,000 to £80,000
The Role
Our Client, an SME business in the construction sector in Leicester is seeking to recruit an experienced Accountant on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Maintaining fixed-asset register including additions & disposals, preparation & posting of monthly depreciation & agreeing to P&L / balance sheet,
Agree monthly payroll nominal report & post journal,
Month-end reporting, assisting the Management team in preparation of statutory accounts & audit packs for a range of businesses.
Assisting with monthly P&L reviews, budgets & forecasts,
Assisting with preparing detailed monthly P&L & balance sheet reports,
Preparation of cashflow statements & controlling expenditure / cash flow for various companies
Management of credit limits.
The Right Person
Qualified or Part-Qualified ACA ACCA, CIMA, AAT or Qualified By Experience,
Possess demonstrable experience in accounts preparation together with knowledge of VAT rules,
Advanced knowledge of Sage 50 would be an advantage,
Knowledge of Payroll & CIS would be advantageous,
Effective communication skills, confident in presenting financial information to senior management,
Numerate, analytical with attention to detail,
Excellent planning, organisation and the ability to achieve deadlines.
