Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 17:00 and Fridays 8:30 - 16:00, who doesn't love an early finish on a Friday?!

Your Duties Will Include: Undertake financial accounting activities for month end including accruals and prepayment journals along with consolidation activities for head office companies. Facilitate a smooth external audit process by project managing the business through the process and being the main contact for the external auditors. Ensure statutory accounts are completed on a timely and accurate basis. Provide accounting advice including the production of technical accounting papers on new business ideas and concepts. Oversee the completion of various returns to HMRC for VAT and the annual PSA. Support and drive financial accounting project work which could include corporate simplifications, implementation of new accounting standards, integration of acquisitions. Handle all aspects of people management for 1 direct report including objective setting, appraisals and training. Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

Strong technical accounting knowledge relevant for a £1bn turnover business. Analytical and problem solving. Advanced excel skills. Ability to work at pace with a demanding workload including prioritisation skills and balancing pace with accuracy. Suits a newly qualified accountant. Benefits:
