I'm currently working with a fast-growing and forward-thinking business who are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Group Accountant (fluent in Spanish and English) to join their team.

This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting and consolidations across multinational operations, with a focus on Spanish-speaking regions. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of accounting principles, experience in group consolidations, and the ability to communicate effectively with international stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and timely consolidated financial statements for the group in compliance with IFRS or GAAP standards. Coordinate with subsidiary entities, particularly in Spanish-speaking regions, to ensure consistent and accurate reporting. Review and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances. Lead and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes across the group. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements in relevant jurisdictions, including Spanish-speaking countries. Assist in the preparation of group budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses. Analyse variances and provide recommendations for financial improvement. Act as the primary finance contact for Spanish-speaking subsidiaries. Provide clear financial updates and insights to senior management and key stakeholders. Liaise with external auditors and ensure timely completion of group audits. Monitor compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.

Required skills & experience: Spanish speaking. Qualified / Finalist / QBE Accountant with strong core accounting skills and working knowledge of P&L, BS and Cashflow. Highly organised with strong attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Willingness to learn about new countries, cultures, and accounting methods. Excellent Excel skills. Management accounts experience including forecasting.
