Job Description The role of Group Accountant is pivotal in ensuring consistent, compliant accounting across the group and driving high standards.

The Group Accountant will support regulatory compliant and consistent accounting practices and help shape the wider business processes to be scalable and efficient. A key deliverable for this role is the provision of accurate financial information. You will work closely with the global finance function and key stakeholders at all levels of the business to ensure best practices are implemented. You will have a natural instinct for delivering to deadlines, high attention to detail, accuracy, communication, and presentation of your work within a complex and fast-paced environment.

You will be curious about what we do, how we do it, and how we can make it better for all stakeholders. You will work closely with the finance team and the other business sales, delivery, and support functions.

Working closely with the Group Finance Director and the wider finance team, you will:

Manage the preparation and delivery of the group consolidated and subsidiary statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP. Support the management of the external audit process, the relationships with the audit team and all internal stakeholders, ensuring adherence to deadlines and successful delivery. During audits, capture areas for improvement, make recommendations, and roll out new processes, controls, and initiatives. Support the CFO and GFD in ensuring regulatory compliance and providing technical guidance and recommendations for accounting treatment and areas of judgment. Support compliant accounting and documentation of revenue recognition across the business. Contribute to the group cash forecasting process and support improvements in working capital management. Review, monitor, and recommend improvements to the group's finance policies, procedures, and internal controls. Ensure a compliant and well-planned tax environment e.g. R&D, Transfer Pricing, Thin Cap/CIR, Deferred Tax asset, VAT, employment taxes. Manage requirements for the annual insurance reviews. Ad-hoc tasks and support required by the GFD, as required. The Successful Applicant ACA accountant from a top 10 firm, with at least 3-5 years post-qualification experience. Strong technical experience within financial accounting and tax, within a global group business. Detailed working knowledge of FRS102. Experience in developing and implementing financial controls and processes. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity. A results-oriented and service delivery focus. A continuous improvement mindset and an aptitude for change management. High attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and presentational skills with the ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the business. Experience of working in a private equity or venture capital-backed business would be an advantage. Advanced Microsoft skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
