The Buyer will be responsible for supporting the Senior Buyer/s, sourcing quality products and services for group Procurement for a leading automotive group of companies based in Coventry. You will have a deep understanding of the Automotive Engineering industry to join the procurement team. The Buyer will play a critical role in sourcing, negotiating, and managing the supply chain for our automotive projects. The ideal candidate will have a background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality products to our customers. Overview of the Role

Responsibilities

Responsible for the management of Supplier Relationships Managing the procurement and expediting Managing the RFQ process from start to finish Raise purchase orders as required across the group Support in the implementation of any ECRs Negotiation and implementation of Service Level Agreements with key suppliers Work on initiatives to improve supplier relationships and identify best value for money practices, VAVE projects Procure production and prototype parts within all functions of the business including Electronics, Trim Shop, Production, and ad hoc scheduled parts. Develop current and future strategies with key Stakeholders to optimise costs Any other Ad hoc purchasing/supply chain requests Essential Skills

2-3 years Procurement background in a Manufacturing and/or Automotive background Commercial awareness of the Global market and ability to follow market trends Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all Key Stakeholders Strong verbal and written communication skills Decisive and pro-active individual, with a positive can-do attitude IT literate - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Ideally Office 365) Strong analytical skills MRP/ERP system experience Desirable
