Senior Group Compliance Assurance Manager

The Senior Group Compliance Assurance Manager is a group-wide role reporting to the Group Head of Compliance providing oversight and challenge over Compliance activity across the Admiral Group.

The role is both to ensure oversight of delivery of the Annual Group Compliance Monitoring Plan, providing assurance to Group Risk Committee that key Compliance risks are mitigated; achieved by conducting end-to-end thematic reviews and performing routine monitoring across group entities; and secondly the requirement to support the overseas entities in their ongoing Compliance activities.

Main Duties Setting strategic deliverables for Compliance Monitoring and Assurance team Developing and ensuring delivery of the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan to assess key existing and emerging themes Attending the monthly Assurance Working Group to discuss assurance activity Maintaining an Integrated Assurance Map and share with group entities Collating a group-wide library of products and distribution channels Provide support to the European Insurer (AECS) and intermediaries in the EU working for AIS (Conte, Admiral Seguros and L'olivier), on Compliance matters as required. This will include product oversight, reporting, monitoring and assurance, training and development, Group and Local policies, and regulatory change. Act as a relationship manager for the European entities (AECS and AIS) by establishing close working links with the businesses, and reporting on the Compliance environment for each firm in the relevant forums, as well as providing regular information to the Head of Department. Act as a point of reference for monitoring and assurance queries from across the Group, including designing and developing the grading structure, reporting mechanisms, and ensuring consistency where possible. Oversight of regular management updates on the Group Compliance Monitoring Plan Ensuring appropriate reporting to committees and other forums in a timely manner Participating in governance boards, committees, and other relevant working groups Developing the team to be the best version of themselves Key Performance Targets Ensure delivery of the Group Compliance Monitoring Plan Ensuring delivery of team objectives Oversight of second line compliance reviews to meet the annual Compliance Plan Assess the adherence to Group Compliance GMS and Policies Work with peers to deliver effective Group Compliance MI Oversight of effective and timely reports to Senior Management and Committees Ensuring the team feedback to businesses in a timely manner Oversight of business actions to mitigate risk and support continuous improvement Ensure maintenance of the Group Compliance departmental risk register Key Skills and Experience Strong team player and proven ability to lead and manage a team Excellent personal communication skills capable of dealing with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management Customer focused, understanding Compliance related challenges in each entity Ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks and projects Proven ability to establish and maintain a high degree of respect, trust, and credibility at all levels Objective, timely and confident decision-making skills Able to negotiate with senior stakeholders resulting in positive outcomes Salary, Benefits and Work-Life Balance We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate's experience.
