An organisation providing integrated energy and process solutions is seeking a Group Contracts Manager on a 9-month fixed-term contract to manage contracting activities across its procurement function.
This role focuses on high-value contracts and ensures governance of supply chain tendering processes while providing expert guidance across the Group. The successful candidate will support the Group Procurement Manager, oversee contract negotiation and execution, and contribute to staff development and reporting to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading supply chain contracting activities across the Group, focusing on high-value, high-risk contracts.
Ensuring governance of group-wide tendering processes.
Developing and implementing contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant systems and procedures.
Providing guidance on contract strategies, terms, and conditions.
Overseeing commercial negotiations and contract execution.
Supporting the Group Procurement Manager and contributing to procurement management strategy.
Managing recruitment and development of staff within the procurement function.
Serving as a subject matter expert on contracts, providing cross-functional advice.
Reporting to senior leadership and managing client relationships effectively.
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and risk management standards across the team.
Requirements:
Extensive experience in contract and procurement management, particularly with high-value contracts.
Strong knowledge of contract terms and conditions, with proven commercial negotiation skills.
Experience in mentoring, developing teams, and ensuring performance targets are met.
Qualified or working towards CIPS certification or equivalent relevant experience.
