Our prestigious client, an acquisitive private equity backed business, is in the midst of an exciting growth phase and is gearing up for an exit. The business has nearly doubled in turnover in the past 24 months with no sign of this slowing. Further recent Private Equity investment will enable accelerated organic growth as well the opportunity to embark on a buy and build M&A strategy. The business is a market disruptor with an outstanding reputation and has an exceptional senior leadership team already in place. As a finance-specialist agency renowned for our excellence in connecting high-calibre talent with premium roles, Axon Moore is thrilled to present a unique opportunity for a Finance Director to join this thriving organisation. Role Overview:

As the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of this dynamic company. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be entrusted with steering the financial strategy, implementing a robust finance structure, and fostering the growth of an accomplished team of qualified finance professionals. Your strategic acumen and leadership skills will be crucial in assisting the CFO with planning, strategy, and managing a range of external stakeholder demands. The incoming FD will be the natural successor to the CFO and a clear development plan will be in place coupled with ongoing mentoring to ensure continued progression and development of the successful candidate. Key Responsibilities: Autonomous role with a high degree of responsibility but with a supportive CFO who will be a strong mentor. Collaborate closely with the CFO to drive strategic financial planning, supporting long-term goals and initiatives. Lead and mentor a team of skilled finance professionals, ensuring their continuous development and alignment with the company’s objectives. Develop and implement a comprehensive finance structure to support the company’s ongoing growth and acquisition initiatives. Support the CFO and PE House to deliver M&A strategy and post-acquisition integration. Assist in the development and execution of financial strategies that align with the company’s expansion plans and private equity partnerships. Cultivate relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, banks, auditors, and legal advisors, to ensure smooth financial operations. Qualifications: Ideally Big 4 ACA background with at least 10 years experience. Experience of working within Private Equity. A proven track record as a Finance Director in a large business. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
