Job Description
SF Executive have been retained by a Financial Services group in Chester to recruit a Finance Director reporting into a Managing Director, and reporting into the group structure of an external investor. The business is highly profitable, with a turnover of over £30M and over 100 staff, making it a sizable organization with scale and the potential to benefit from upcoming changes in the Financial Services market. You will lead a team of 10 in finance, managing the day-to-day finance functions, overseeing the Management Accounts process, leading board meetings from board packs generated by your team, and ultimately ensuring the cash position of the business remains robust. This business is predominantly a consumer debt organization, and there are some regulatory changes in the sector that will have significant impacts on the future of the business, presenting both challenges and opportunities for M&A and growth. The Finance Director role requires a candidate with significant experience in leading Finance teams within the Financial Services sector, ideally with consumer debt experience, and a background in navigating change in a highly regulated environment. You will have experience communicating and dealing directly with investors and funders of debt, ensuring they have confidence that the business's finances are well-managed and robust. You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) and seeking a role based in the office in Chester 5 days a week, although the business is reasonable regarding working hours.
