Finance Director / Management Accountant
to oversee and enhance financial operations for a well-established property surveying firm. This role combines hands-on financial management with strategic oversight, contributing to business growth and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have expertise in forecasting, business restructuring, and providing financial insights at the Board level, alongside experience in share purchase agreements and the property surveying sector. Key Responsibilities: Financial Strategy and Forecasting : Lead the development of financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts to guide business decisions. Board Presentation : Prepare and deliver financial insights and strategic recommendations to the Board and senior leadership. Business Restructuring : Support and lead restructuring initiatives to optimise financial performance and operational efficiency. Compliance and Reporting : Oversee financial reporting, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies. Share Purchase Agreements : Provide expert financial analysis and insights relating to share purchase agreements and other M&A activities. Team Leadership : Manage and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Cost Control and Risk Management : Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement risk management strategies. Collaboration with Departments : Work closely with other departments to align financial strategies with overall business objectives. Qualifications : Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) preferred. Experience : 8+ years in financial management, ideally within the property surveying or professional services sector. Proven expertise in forecasting, strategic planning, and business restructuring. Experience working on share purchase agreements or M&A activities is highly desirable. Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
