We're partnering with a hugely successful, international professional services business on a newly created Group Financial Accountant opportunity.

As number two to the Group Financial Controller, you will help the business develop their financial and compliance activities across ten global offices as the business continues its fantastic growth.

Group Financial Accountant - The Role

Audit, Compliance and Financial Reporting: Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and/or IFRS or local accounting standards (GAAP where applicable). Consolidate group financials, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all relevant regulations across multiple entities in various regions. Coordinate with external auditors to manage the timelines and deliverables. Complete ownership of Workiva including prep and reporting of statutory financial statements. Ensure that all financial reporting complies with local and international accounting standards and tax laws in each operating country. Assist in working R&D claim with help from external consultants and coordinate with FP&A and payroll teams for data requests. Assist in preparing statutory financial statements for each entity and manage the external audit process in collaboration with local auditors. Ensure compliance with all applicable corporate tax regulations and coordinate with external tax advisors where needed.

Group Financial Analysis: Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

Intercompany and Multi-Currency Management: Manage complex intercompany transactions and foreign currency translations.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency.

Collaboration: Work closely with teams across the globe to ensure seamless financial operations.

Group Financial Accountant - Required Experience ACCA or ACA qualified, preferably in practice. Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and local GAAPs. Proven experience in financial reporting, consolidation, and analysis. Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in accounting software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
