As Group Financial Accountant, you will provide essential support to Group and Operations, collaborating closely with stakeholders to maintain accurate financial records, embed robust processes and drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present month-end management information packs to senior stakeholders Lead the monthly consolidation process for Group’s management accounts Manage the preparation of statutory year-end audit packs and financial statements for Group companies, acting as the primary liaison with external auditors Prepare the annual Group statutory consolidation. Handle technical accounting for the Group’s investment portfolio (c.£170m), ensuring accurate reporting to the Divisional Finance Director Oversee the preparation of VAT returns, including Partial Exemption calculations Support fixed asset, debtors, and creditors oversight, maintaining accurate financial records in the Group’s finance system. Collaborate with operational teams to ensure seamless accounting workflows. Provide support for marketing budget reconciliations and ensure compliance with international tax documentation requirements. Guide and develop two direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Oversee the preparation of month-end reports for one of the organisations' entity Oversee the preparation of VAT returns, including Partial Exemption calculations for one entity The Candidate
You may have trained in professional practice and honed your skills in industry or have experience in a Group accounting role. You will be pro-active, an effective communicator and have a passion for or experience of, mentoring and developing others. To succeed in this role, you will have: Professional Qualification:
CA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA. Extensive Finance Experience:
A proven background in nominal ledger maintenance, accounting record-keeping, and group consolidations. Technical Knowledge:
Advanced knowledge of financial systems and reporting tools, with expert proficiency in Excel. Track Record of Delivery:
Demonstrated success in meeting structured deadlines and resolving complex finance queries. Strong Stakeholder Management:
