Group Financial Accountant

It’s a fantastic opportunity to join an exciting team; we’re looking for an experienced individual to support in ensuring the financial accounts are maintained in accordance with accounting standards and the Group Accounting policies and to support the implementation, optimisation and documentation of group-wide standard processes. Your challenge for the Group Financial Accountant: Group and Statutory Audit / UK GAAP Financial Statements: Active role supporting the UK Dairy Group and Statutory Audit Preparation of the UK GAAP (FRS102) Financial Statements Process standards: Create process descriptions and documentation which are considered in the financial accounting manual. Review process descriptions and documentation to be adopted in the financial accounting manual. Standardise, further develop and optimise the processes that go beyond the transactional posting processes carried out in the Shared Service Centre (SSC). Proactively verify and test new tools, SAP add-ons or in-house developments. Define and execute the measures to ensure compliance with process standards. Query of training needs and holding internal training courses on SAP functionalities, closing processes, accounting standards and selected accounting topics. Be a contact person for SSC as well as other process owners and experts. Accounting standards: Monthly consultations with SSC contact persons regarding the preparation of the monthly financial statements. Review of the monthly financial statements of the UK entities to ensure compliance with IFRS standards and internal guidelines. Be a contact person for SSC and other internal and external parties for accounting topics. Key skills & experience for the Group Financial Accountant: Accountancy Qualification ACCA/ACA. Experience of preparing statutory financial statements under IFRS and UK GAAP (FRS102). Experience of Audit. Good knowledge of Excel including formulas, pivot tables, and vlookups. Experience of SAP. Ability to perform in a fast-paced and high-pressured environment. Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines. Ability to work with people from both financial and non-financial backgrounds. Transfer knowledge to other teams; strong communication skills.
