Your new company Our client is an ambitious and growing locally owned business that will support their staff on their career journey. You will be a key member of the Finance team producing the finance information and commercial reports to support the operational teams. Working in a fast-paced business, you will work with a wider team to help the business achieve its commercial goals. Your new role As the Group Financial Controller, your duties will include, but are not limited to: Manage, mentor and motivate the finance team Oversee preparation and presentation of the monthly management accounts to the board of Directors with insights Monthly balance sheet reconciliations Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts Preparation of year-end packs for external auditors and annual statutory accounts Develop and implement internal financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems Monthly cash flow analysis and re-forecasting Management of day-to-day financial activities Act as a key partner to the other Heads of Departments in strategic and operational areas of the business The ability to challenge processes and colleagues and drive continuous improvement both in the department and in the wider business What you'll need to succeed Qualified Accountant with experience in an SME Commercially astute and able to work in a fast-paced environment Thorough and methodical attention to detail Strong written and oral communication skills Excellent judgement in all company matters Highly motivated and can lead and positively influence others What you'll get in return You will be offered a competitive salary and a chance to develop in the role, learning from an experienced FD.
