Axon Moore is recruiting a Group Financial Controller for a rapidly growing PE backed business in Blackburn.
* Please note: This is a technically broad and challenging role and therefore the client has specifically limited their search to candidates with strong technical experience.
Our client has experienced year-on-year growth and has developed into a major UK competitor within their field of expertise. They're private equity backed and have seen rapid expansion in recent years that has been down to both organic growth (trading off their strong brand position) and through M&A fuelled by their investors. The business is now entering its next phase of development as it matures and consolidates its strong position. Key to this next phase will be the hiring of a talented and ambitious Group Financial Controller who can progress with the business.
The new Group Financial Controller will lead a strong team, project manage a range of new initiatives and assist the Financial Director in executing projects and strategic opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Lead a strong finance team. Project manage new initiatives. Assist the Financial Director with strategic projects.
Minimum Requirements: ACA trained from a top 10 firm. Audit or industry experience within Financial Services (desirable). Approximately 5 years post-qualification experience in a technical role. Ability to assist in board meetings and present to various stakeholders.
