As Group Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in driving Monta’s ambitious growth and ensuring financial stability during its transition to a more structured and scalable organization. You’ll act as a player-coach, seamlessly balancing leadership with hands-on involvement in day-to-day operations. From inspiring your team to tackling the details in the machineroom, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the company’s financial foundation for its next growth chapter.

We recently closed a huge Series B round, totaling 80M EUR! In other words: we’re well on our way to revolutionizing the global EV charging experience. And how will we use our new funding? We plan to double down on our successful software-only strategy by strengthening our investments in all markets, and expanding our products to all new sectors ready to set off on an electrified future. Once that’s done, the sky’s the limit.
Here are some things you’ll be working on:
Overseeing an accounting team of 4 as well as external consultants with a focus on elevating team capabilities and fostering a culture of excellence.
Ensure IFRS compliance, manage VAT and payroll, as well as working closely with auditors for annual reporting.
Oversee BS and PL accountability and oversee financial consolidation across 10+ entities.
Lead improvements in operational efficiency, transitioning entrepreneurial workflows into scalable processes.
To do this, we imagine you to have the following experience:
At least 8 years in accounting leadership, ideally in scale-ups, fintech, or similar industries.
Relevant master’s degree (e.g., cand.merc.aud, HD-R, cand.oecon, or cand.polit).
Strong knowledge of Danish GAAP, IFRS, VAT compliance, and financial reporting. Familiarity with US GAAP is a plus.
Resilient, process-driven, and entrepreneurial. You thrive in high-energy environments and have a talent for mentorship and team building.
Fluency in English. Fluency in Danish is a plus.
