A hugely successful group of engineering companies is looking to recruit a Group HSE Advisor to help drive health and safety improvements across the organisation. The Role
As Group HSE Advisor, you will work across multiple engineering businesses, each of which operates independently with its own onsite Health & Safety Manager. Your role will be to provide additional support, expertise, and resource to elevate safety standards and ensure best practices are implemented consistently across the group.
Key responsibilities include:
* Collaborating with onsite H&S Managers to develop and implement group-wide best practices.
* Conducting site visits to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure compliance.
* Providing hands-on support and advice to site teams on safety matters.
* Developing and delivering initiatives to promote a proactive safety culture across all businesses.
* Assisting in the investigation of incidents and supporting the implementation of corrective actions.
* Supporting compliance with relevant legislation and contributing to continuous improvement in safety systems.
This role will be field-based, with regular travel to sites across the Midlands and the North of England.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* A formal qualification in Health & Safety (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent).
* Experience working in environments such as machining, fabrication, hot/cold metal processing, cutting, bending, or pressing.
* A coaching/advisory approach, with the ability to engage and motivate teams to embrace safety improvements.
* A practical and hands-on attitude, with the willingness to “roll up your sleeves” when on-site.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
You should also be comfortable with regular travel and managing a hybrid working pattern.
