Job Description

Based on the strong results delivered, we are embarking on a new chapter in our Procurement evolution. Over the past 18 months, we have established a Group Procurement function, and we are currently seeking talented a Group Ingredients Category Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in this transformation, which is undertaken collaboratively with divisions, as One Procurement Community.

What Will You Be Doing? In this role, you will shape and execute the procurement strategy for essential ingredients across our diverse portfolio. Leveraging your market insights and strategic vision, you will lead sourcing initiatives that drive value across Europe. You will work closely with suppliers, and champion collaborative practices, all while achieving cost-saving targets and contributing to the overarching business objectives.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Creating and implementing a strategic plan for your categories that aligns with Valeo’s broader objectives and divisional business strategies and needs.
  • Managing the end-to-end sourcing process for your categories, utilizing in-depth analysis and category knowledge, applying proactive leadership in generating opportunities, and securing attractive commercial deals, to achieve superior outcomes.
  • Generating a strong savings pipeline through advanced procurement techniques and leading Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) to strengthen supplier innovation, ESG, and promote continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring and responding to market trends to mitigate risks and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish best practices, elevate our procurement capabilities, and actively contribute to our transformation.

Qualifications

Who Are You? You bring a wealth of procurement expertise, ideally honed within the FMCG sector, and possess a strong background in strategic sourcing. Your exceptional communication skills enable you to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and suppliers alike. You are a pragmatic team player who thrives in dynamic environments and demonstrates a proactive, hands-on approach. Your analytical ability and strong commercial acumen allow you to deliver impactful results.
