Join a Thriving Manufacturing Group Our client, a highly successful and expanding acquisition group of manufacturing companies, is seeking a Group QHSE Manager to strengthen the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) performance across its diverse portfolio of businesses. The Role:

This strategic yet hands-on position will focus on supporting, advising, coaching, and improving QHSE performance across 10 manufacturing sites located in the Midlands, Lancashire, South Yorkshire, and Worcestershire. Operating as separate entities, each business has its own Quality and HSE teams, who report directly to their respective Managing Directors. The Group QHSE Manager will not manage these teams directly but will act as a key resource, providing expertise and guidance to elevate standards and foster best practices. Key Responsibilities Include:

Strategic Leadership:

Developing and implementing a best-practice QHSE strategy tailored to the varying needs of each business. Coaching and Support:

Providing mentoring and practical guidance to site teams, ensuring improvements are both sustainable and impactful. Driving Continuous Improvement:

Enhancing business management systems, ensuring compliance, and driving excellence in quality, safety, and environmental performance. Flexible Approach:

Delivering light-touch guidance to businesses where appropriate and offering more hands-on support for those requiring additional assistance. Site Engagement:

Traveling to sites regularly to engage with teams, understand challenges, and provide actionable solutions. The Ideal Candidate:

The successful candidate will be a QHSE professional with: Extensive Manufacturing Experience:

A proven track record in QHSE leadership within manufacturing environments. Health & Safety Expertise:

Strong knowledge of Health & Safety management and a history of implementing effective safety improvements. Business Management Systems:

Demonstrable success in developing and enhancing management systems to drive operational excellence. Collaborative Leadership Style:

A coach-like mentality with the ability to inspire and develop others while respecting the autonomy of individual businesses. Flexibility and Travel:

The willingness to travel regularly across sites in the Midlands and the North, with the ability to work from home, the head office in Birmingham, or while on the road. The Benefits:
