The finance team is central to partnering with business leaders to provide accurate, timely and quality information to support their growth plans.

About the Role: You will be: Reporting to Head of Financial Reporting and Controls and being a key team member of financial accounting team, and key contributor in the improvement and streamlining of financial business processes across entities within the group. Responsible for financial accounting for certain entities within the group. Coaching, developing and management of junior management accountants. Performing consolidation and monthly group reporting processes, including posting consolidation journals and ensuring the accuracy of intercompany matrix. Working closely with the wider financial accounting and commercial finance to drive business process improvements and deliver group level analysis, projects and results. Preparing financial statements for certain entities, and assisting in preparation of Group consolidated financial reports. Supporting with the interim, year-end audit.

Your Part to Play: Be responsible for the consolidation of the group and the preparation of group/single entity financial statements. Lead the accounting and financial reporting for certain entities within the group, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations and profit reviews. Preparation of monthly management accounts in accordance with revenue recognition policies and applicable accounting standards. Preparation of monthly divisional financial reports with variance analysis and commentary. This includes Customer/project level reporting covering revenue and margin by product. Ensure compliance with internal processes and controls, and with external regulatory requirements. Involved with the annual forecasts and budget preparation where necessary. Assist in preparation of weekly reports e.g., cash forecasts where necessary.

Others: Jointly manage relationships with the group's external auditors. Process improvements and ongoing development of processes, systems and procedures. Interface with billing to ensure outputs are accurate and can be accounted for appropriately. Management of junior team members. Continuous development of relationships with members of commercial finance team and project team.

All About You: ACA or equivalent qualified accountant from Top 10 practice with at least 2-year post-qualified experience, ideally within the industry. Good technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, particularly around revenue recognition. Experience of working in an IT/ Telco industry with exposure to best practice. Excellent attention to detail. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, comfortable in working with both finance and non-finance team members. Experience of working both independently and as part of a wider team, ability to effectively lead, manage and develop team. A high-quality result driven individual, with strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to deliver practical solutions and drive genuine business improvements. Experience of accounting system implementation and improvement would be beneficial. Solid MS Office Excel knowledge.
