What You'll Do As part of our R&D Team, you will: Shape the Future: Support the Head of Research & Development in driving innovation and growth within our Group R&D department. Lead the Charge: Manage and develop the R&D tracker, ensuring seamless logging of projects and delivery of information for R&D Tax Credit purposes. Take Ownership: Oversee at least four individual projects, with a long-term goal of leading projects for Cranswick’s key retail customers. Build Connections: Partner with universities, suppliers, and industry stakeholders to run and manage strategic R&D projects. Foster Collaboration: Co-manage group meetings across various functions, including Technical, NPD, ESG, and Marketing, ensuring alignment and progress. Inspire Change: Create awareness of the R&D department through targeted upskilling sessions and a project-led approach. What We’re Looking For We are searching for an ambitious, self-motivated individual with a passion for innovation and collaboration. The ideal candidate will have: A Degree in Food Science or a related field. Strong technical or operational awareness in the food industry, ideally at middle to senior management level. A proven track record of leading and implementing strategies that drive success. A deep understanding of legal legislation and guidelines in the food industry. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate across all levels, from the Executive Board to operational staff. The ability to manage and prioritise a demanding workload. Experience interacting with food retailers and presenting to diverse audiences. Proficiency in IT technologies and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong organisational and management abilities. A proactive, resilient attitude with a clear focus on delivering results.
