Security Manager

to be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors across all campuses within the college group. This involves developing, implementing, and managing security protocols, leading the security team, and coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services as needed. You will also oversee risk assessments, monitoring security systems, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Reporting to the Director of Facilities, you will provide leadership and direction to ensure the security team is proactive and effective in safeguarding the college community. You will review and maintain emergency response procedures, including evacuation plans, fire drills, and lockdown procedures, and act as a point of contact for students, staff, and parents regarding security concerns, offering advice and resolution strategies. We’d like you to have excellent security management experience, ideally within an educational institution or similar environment. You should be proficient in using security systems such as CCTV, alarms, and access control technologies, and hold a degree in Security Management or a related field. With evidence of sound financial management of both revenue and capital budgets within a large organisation, you will be able to produce and analyse data and make appropriate recommendations. You must have the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels within and outside of the Group, including conveying technical information to non-technical specialists. Able to establish credibility with managers and understand the business need, you will be able to work individually and as part of a team, remaining calm and effective under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Closing date for the return of completed applications is 23rd December 2024.
