Are you looking for the autonomy you know you're capable of? Want to put your expertise to use and train the team around you? This is a chance to work for a business as they open their second glasshouse growing operation.
What's the Role?
As a Grower Manager, you will manage the team and oversee irrigation, pest and disease management, and nutrition. You will have a full overview of the growing operation across this 5-acre glasshouse, specializing in protected salad crops. You will work collaboratively with the other site and the owners to implement best practices and continuous improvement.
This role is hands-on, and while you will be working hard, the rewards are significant. If you have a real passion for growing fresh produce alongside great teams, this could be just the role for you.
What do I need?
Previous experience growing produce for UK supermarkets is advantageous, along with knowledge of growing protected edible crops. You should have your spray certificates and be confident in using them, as well as experience in managing or supervising teams. You might be a grower manager ready for something fresh, or a grower supervisor ready to take the next step. Either way, we want to hear from you.
