Sports Level 3 Sports Tutor with Maths and English Location:

Kempston area Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Sports NCFE Tutor with expertise in delivering functional skills to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative teaching sessions to learners pursuing their NCFE qualifications in Sports, while also integrating functional skills development in English and mathematics. Develop and deliver high-quality teaching sessions aligned with the Level 3 Sports curriculum, incorporating relevant functional skills in English and mathematics. Provide ongoing impartial IAG and CIAG to enable learners to progress and achieve their goals. Practical Sessions:

Organize and lead practical sports sessions to enhance learners’ practical skills and understanding of sports principles and techniques. Employ strategies to safeguard others, identifying risks and following reporting procedures to provide timely support. Classroom Instruction:

Deliver theoretical lessons covering topics such as sports science, coaching principles, and sports industry knowledge, while integrating functional skills activities to support literacy and numeracy development. Assessment and Feedback:

Implement effective assessment methods to evaluate learner progress and provide constructive feedback to learners, enabling them to develop and achieve. Individualized Support:

Provide individualized support to learners, including identifying and addressing any barriers to learning and implementing appropriate interventions. Resource Development:

Develop and adapt teaching materials and resources to suit the diverse needs and learning styles of learners, enhancing their engagement and understanding. Classroom Management:

Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of all learners during practical and theoretical sessions. Progress Monitoring:

Monitor and track learner progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to support their academic and personal development. Collaboration:

Collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders to support the overall success of the Sports NCFE program and promote opportunities for learner progression. Professional Development:

Stay updated on best practices in sports education, NCFE curriculum developments, and functional skills requirements. Be proactive in your own continuous professional development, engaging and resourcing opportunities to improve your professional practice. Requirements: Education:

A bachelor’s degree in sports science, physical education, or a related field is required. A teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, etc.) is highly desirable. Experience:

Previous experience teaching NCFE Sports qualifications and delivering functional skills in English and mathematics is preferred. Sports Expertise:

A strong understanding of sports principles, coaching techniques, and industry practices, with experience in leading practical sports sessions. Communication Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Organizational Skills:

Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to plan and deliver effective lessons and manage resources effectively. Adaptability:

Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of learners and respond to changing educational requirements. Passion for Sports Education:

A genuine passion for sports education and a commitment to empowering learners to succeed in their academic and sporting endeavours. Enhanced DBS Check:

Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Qualifications:

Level 2 gym instructor, level 3 personal training, and level 3 assessors qualification. Employment Type:

Part Time Salary:

30k to 34k Pro rata based on experience and qualifications Application:
