Hardware Design Engineer focuses on support major uk projects in energy generation, storage, and transmission & distribution.

What the role involves

  • Support major UK projects in Energy Generation, Storage, and Transmission & Distribution.
  • Review engineering drawings: SLDs, KLDs, schematics, wiring diagrams, GAs, cable routing, termination schedules.
  • Delivering electrical calculations, technical documentation, FDS.
  • Develop hardware test strategies, installation & test plans, and documentation for FAT/SAT.
  • Assisting with design reviews, change control, risk identification and engineering progress updates.
  • Supporting site surveys, installation, commissioning and client engagement.

Skills and requirements

  • Strong experience using E‑Plan, AutoCAD Electrical or similar.
  • Knowledge of P&C panel design, LVAC/DC systems, UPS, instrumentation wiring and marshalling.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
