Akkodis, is a global leader in the engineering and R&D market that is leveraging the power of connected data to accelerate innovation and digital transformation The role encompasses everything from management of hardware design packages, product design, and development through to larger scale platform integration focussed around the core skills associated with a Hardware Engineering Manager (Electronics Engineer). This includes hardware architecture, requirements management, schematic capture, design, Firmware development (FPGA / VHDL), hardware integration, verification, validation and design assurance activities. Responsibilities: • Identification of required skills, allocating responsibilities to the various individual contributors or contractors, and leading these contributors as a team. • Scheduling, coordination and monitoring the implementation of tasks against the plan. • Management of advanced studies dealing with new functions as well as emerging technologies, as required. • Overseeing tasks focused on preparing, defining, specifying, tooling, and performing IVVQ activities. • Decomposition and interpretation of system requirements & algorithms. • Electronic design, Hardware Verification and Hardware Integration. • Test, measurement, debug and verification (electronics). • Design Assurance (Complex Electronics). Skills: • Hardware System Engineering background. • Requirements Management and Development Skills. • Understanding of Engineering Development lifecycles. • A level of autonomy and a logical approach to problem solving. • Digital electronic design and implementation of complex designs • Knowledge of Processing Units. • Electro-mechanical design including Power switching & control, Cabling and enclosure wiring. • An excellent understanding of the fundamentals of High-speed digital design. • A working knowledge of Microprocessors, programmable devices, DSP, FPGA, memory. • Knowledge of PCB design constraints. • Estimating, scheduling, progress reporting, cost management, risk management, change management.
