Transport Supervisor Role Profile

Responsibilities: Staff and direct the delivery teams to ensure understanding of their duties and contributions to the wider organization. Meet targets set by the Transport Manager. Ensure smooth running of daily deliveries. Contribute to training and development of yourself and the delivery teams. Assist in achieving maximum customer satisfaction in accordance with NPS. Perform all duties in compliance with related legal/statutory regulations and professional obligations. Day to Day Duties:

Manage, direct, and monitor transport operations and overall performance of delivery teams to increase efficiency and maximize service. Handle route planning, resource allocation, and driver supervision. Communicate effectively and support delivery teams. Maintain team morale through engagement and 1-2-1 meetings with core employees. Support the warehouse department with transport-related issues. Assist the Transport Manager with recruitment, training, and coaching of delivery teams. Update and complete spreadsheets, documents, and systems. Manage communications with internal departments, suppliers, managers, and stakeholders. Culture and Compliance:

Drive a culture of accountability, setting examples for commitment, work ethic, and professionalism. Maintain accurate records. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Support in employee investigations, return to work, welfare meetings, and disciplinaries. Ensure timely and accurate loading of employee paperwork onto Oracle. Process new starters and leavers efficiently following system processes. Required Experience:

Experience and understanding of logistics supply chain. Experience with vehicle movement and associated activities and compliance. Understanding of driving legislation including tachograph policies, driving hours, and the Road Traffic Act. Line management experience. Proficient in using IT/technology. Key Skills:

Able to implement and manage change. Budget and financial skills. Resource planning and maximizing cost-effective resource use. Effective people management skills. Clear communication and collaboration at all levels. High level of self-awareness and accountability for own development. Technical understanding. Key Attributes:

Flexible and versatile. Adaptable to change and new situations. Strong and resilient, able to recover quickly from difficult conditions. Willingness to participate in meetings and projects as required. Responsible for allocated workload and meeting targets agreed with Line Manager. Contribute to the smooth running of the organization.
