We are delighted to be working with Birmingham and Solihull CCG to recruit a Director of Financial Sustainability. The Director of Financial Sustainability will lead on the development and delivery of the BSol Financial Sustainability Programme, including the delivery of an annual programme of financial improvement projects and delivery of the ICS’s financial improvement target. Engaging with stakeholders, including operational, clinical and finance executives and teams, the Director will develop a constructive, open and frank relationship with system leaders, providing support and challenge where appropriate. The role will be hosted by one of the organisations within the ICS and will report to the system CFO group. The Director is accountable to the ICB CFO for the delivery of the Financial Sustainability Programme; day-to-day line management will be through the CFO of the hosting organisation. Key Responsibilities: Lead the Central Improvement Unit (CIU) which will provide support to the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the Financial Sustainability Programme. Work across the system to lead and drive sustainable financial improvement, incorporating organisation-level and system-level schemes to enable delivery of the system’s short and long-term financial plans. Minimum Qualifications: CCAB or CIMA Qualified Accountant with evidence of professional membership and significant, senior-level, post-qualification experience. Proven track record with significant senior leadership experience in an NHS provider. Track record of successful financial improvement and/or programme delivery. Experience of leading and delivering complex change and strategy development programmes in a politically sensitive and complex environment.
