The post holder will understand surgical and cancer pathways and be dedicated to improving patient experience while developing specialist nursing practice through ongoing professional and academic growth. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive Holistic Needs Assessments at key points along the cancer pathway Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions to meet patients' needs Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and attend meetings to ensure patients' wishes are prioritised Under the guidance of the Head and Neck Clinical Nurse Specialist, provide specialised nursing care and support to patients with Head, Neck, and cancer, along with their families/carers Support patients across various care settings, including wards and outpatient clinics. Act as an advocate for patients, families, and carers when needed Assist patients in achieving self-care and educate caregivers to support them at home or in the hospital Empower patients to manage their health and well-being, ensuring they can express their preferences, worries, and concerns We seek a compassionate professional committed to making a significant difference in the lives of patients and their families. Qualifications

NMC Registration Advanced Communication Skills Training Post basic qualification in cancer or relevant subject Knowledge

Evidence of knowledge of the head and neck pathway Evidence of understanding of the role of the CNS Ability to demonstrate a range of communication styles Knowledge of clinical governance frameworks Experience of working within an MDT Skills

Ability to problem solve Disclosure and Barring Service Check
