Location Edinburgh, Scotland Sector Accountancy Salary £70,000.00 to £80,000.00 per annum Benefits Full benefits available on request The Role We are working with our client, a leading financial services firm in the UK, to strengthen their Accounting Operations function. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced finance professional to lead and develop the Accounting Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm's financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial transactions.

As Head of Accounting Operations, you will be responsible for: Leading and managing the Accounting Ops team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment. Overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of the firm, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards. Developing and implementing financial strategies and policies that align with the firm's overall business objectives. Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business. Providing insightful financial analysis and reporting to senior management. Managing and mitigating financial risks. Overseeing the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and controls. We'd love to hear from you if you have: Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role within the financial services industry. Strong leadership, management, and mentorship skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Experience with financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Strong project management skills with a proven track record of successful project delivery. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences. A strong understanding of the financial services regulatory landscape. Experience with financial systems and technologies.
