Are you enthusiastic about ensuring LSCFT have an AHP workforce fit for our future? Do you have the skills and experience to lead and deliver our AHP workforce strategy? This senior Allied Health Professional (AHP) post has been created to enable an enthusiastic and innovative, HCPC registered AHP, to lead the delivery of the LSCFT AHP workforce strategy and plan.

This is a key role for the trust and requires a highly professional role model, capable of deputising internally and externally for the Director of AHPs on matters relating to the AHP workforce. You will possess the knowledge and skills to analyse and interpret workforce data, develop business cases, manage projects and facilitate change. You must be highly organised, able to manage conflicting demands and prioritise to deliver to deadlines. Networking and the ability to influence outside of your immediate team is essential.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will report directly to the Director of AHPs and work collaboratively with senior AHP leaders in LSCFT, colleagues in LSCFT and neighbouring trusts, the Lancashire and South Cumbria AHP Faculty and colleagues across the North West, the LSCFT workforce team and the AHP workforce.

LSCFT employs art therapists, dietitians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, podiatrists and speech and language therapists to work with adults and children in mental health and community physical health services. We would welcome applicants from any of these professions.

Education/Qualifications

Essential

Registered Allied Health Professional (AHP) - current and relevant registration on HCPC register Masters level qualification in related subject / working towards or portfolio of evidence working at that level Evidence of CPD in line with professional regulatory guidance

Knowledge

Essential

Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of professional and NHS policy and issues Evidence of the ability to make operational judgments involving highly complex facts and situations Demonstrable evidence of robust financial and other resource management, together with business planning acumen

Experience

Essential

Substantial clinical and managerial experience, relevant to this post, at minimum of network level with a track record of achievement of objectives Experience of implementing AHP quality assurance metrics Experience of embedding robust clinical and corporate systems at local level, specifically relevant to AHP evidence of leading and implementing successful change

Skills

Essential

Committed to the positive leadership and development of nursing and midwifery Commitment to effective MDT working Evidence of engagement in high level clinical practice
