Job Details

The Head of Aquaculture is a key member of the Leadership team and a Senior Member of the Edinburgh Office. You will play an integral role within the business to support other Senior Managers in making business decisions and for inspiring and motivating the teams they manage.

This is a global position based out of the Edinburgh Office, being the voice of Seafood for LRQA and is a key position for the development of Seafood over the coming years with the commercial and technical teams. How will you make a difference?

Be the voice for the seafood globally across LRQA, and will bring a complete understanding of operations and solid commercial understanding of delivery and be accountable for managing Teams across Aquaculture & Fisheries. Leading the teams to ensure service delivery is of a high standard and ensuring we are meeting our clients’ commitments. Working collaboratively with other cross functional teams to ensure we are working effectively to service our clients. Implement a cohesive Global roadmap across Seafood that will enable commercial development of the business. Attend client and scheme owner meetings and be available to support the Sales Team with technical queries relating to tenders for new business in the relevant sectors and also able to provide technical reviews on consultation documents. Requirements

What Will You Bring Degree qualification in a fisheries and/or aquaculture related field. Trained and approved aquaculture auditor against an internationally recognised standard. Extensive industry experience within the aquaculture sectors. IRCA approved ISO 9001: 2000 Lead Auditor course. Industry recognised professional qualification in marine management. Experience at managing accreditation for international certification schemes for food and beverage, including aquaculture and fisheries. Demonstrable and up-to-date knowledge within aquaculture management system. HACCP. Awareness of food industry legislation and Codes of Practice. Knowledge of quality assurance schemes within food supply chains. Proven leadership experience. Contact Information
