Clyde Valley Group (CVG) is a thriving social business and registered charity recognised for partnership approaches and innovation in meeting community needs. CVG has a track record of delivering high-quality housing services for a diverse range of customers and we are regulated by the Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR).

The Group owns and manages just under 5,000 homes and provides services for over 3,000 factored homeowners. We are a highly successful developer of new affordable housing and we are proud that people see us very much as a local and regional landlord and employer. We make a notable difference to lives and communities through helping to meet housing needs and employing around 100 people. By 2025, our team will be providing a brilliant customer experience to at least 8700 customers.

As the Head of Group Assurance, you will be a key leader within our organisation, reporting directly to the Finance and Corporate Services Director. This high-impact role is crucial in assuring that our services and processes align with our mission and regulatory standards. You will provide vital assurance to the CEO, Directors, and Board, ensuring our service delivery meets quality, performance, and target standards. This position offers the opportunity to input into Clyde Valley’s strategic direction and support the business in delivering its strategy and business plan.

In this dynamic role, you will lead the development and maintenance of our risk management framework, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure operational and strategic success. You will oversee the internal audit program, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, and play a pivotal role in creating a culture of assurance across the organisation. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement, ensuring that our services meet and exceed strategic objectives. You will engage closely with the Leadership Team, providing insights and recommendations to enhance our control environment and achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Promote a culture of assurance and provide strategic advice to drive compliance and quality across the organisation. Lead the development and implementation of robust reporting systems for accurate and timely data. Oversee the internal audit program and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain the strategic risk framework, identifying and mitigating emerging risks. Foster strong internal and external partnerships to enhance service delivery and assurance.

We seek an inspirational and innovative leader who can drive and promote a culture of wellbeing, caring and productivity, working alongside the wider Leadership Team, to develop and deliver a corporate strategy that supports our Group’s vision, values and objectives. You will possess excellent interpersonal, influencing and stakeholder management skills, and you won’t be afraid to challenge the status quo. If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.

The full Role Profile and application guidance can be found on our careers site.

For a confidential, informal discussion about the role, please contact the People team via recruitment@cvha.org.uk.

In return, Clyde Valley Group offer a great remuneration and benefits package, including generous holidays and flexible working arrangements, an on-site gym and training and development opportunities. Notes

Interviews are expected to take place in the week commencing 20th January 2025.
