We're growing, and need to establish our Brand Marketing practice from the ground-up. Above all, our work is mission-driven. It must reflect the integrity of our journalism and be oriented toward the needs of our readers. Where this role sits: You'll report to our Vice President of Consumer Marketing. You'll work with our Consumer and Newsroom teams, as well as our Conferences and Advertising businesses. You'll be the DRI for our team's objective of increasing consideration for Fortune and the belief Fortune is worth paying for. You'll oversee our creative team and help envision how we grow to meet the needs of the organization. Your remit: Lead insight-driven strategy for marketing campaigns that deliver on partner teams' objectives. Reinforce Fortune's brand identity by establishing creative standards. Set a high bar for creative outputs and establish best practices. Mentor and manage our creative team. Create a culture of hypothesis testing and rigorous measurement. You’ve worked at the intersection of Marketing and Creative, translating strategic goals into inspiring and effective campaigns. You have a solid grasp of digital marketing channels—from social to email to on-site experiences—and how they shape brand perception. You’re tech-savvy, open to leveraging AI or other tools to streamline processes, and comfortable with basic web and CRM tech. Ways of working: You love building and influencing: you enjoy shaping processes, frameworks, and organizational change. You're skilled at prioritization, and create focus when there are multiple paths forward. You believe in transparency, communicating openly with stakeholders and team members to keep everyone aligned. You think strategically about how brand marketing efforts tie into overall subscription growth, while still focusing on executional excellence. Experience: 6+ years of progressive experience in brand marketing or integrated marketing roles. A proven track record of conducting attitudinal and market research and translating insights into successful, measurable campaigns. Experience defining and refining brand positioning, voice, and identity—ideally in a media, publishing, or subscription-based business. Demonstrated ability to develop clear, data-driven creative briefs, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Direct people management experience and a track record of nurturing high-performing teams. Compensation: Total compensation including Base Salary and Discretionary Annual bonus $140,000.00 to $160,000.00.
