Job Description Powered is responsible for the commercialisation of Nine’s content cross platform and creating and delivering partnerships for brands. Within Powered we have the following business units: Creative Solutions, Insights + Effectiveness, Content Partnerships, Content Strategy and Distribution, Commercial Production, Client Experience. As part of Nine, we have access to credible talent, state-of-the-art production facilities and a portfolio of assets across print, digital, social and TV to cut through the noise and make an impact. Consider Powered as an integrated, yet independent, production powerhouse that will create content to make a memorable impact both on and off our networks. Role Responsibilities Manage a team of content producers to create content solutions for commercial clients across all Nine brands. Be the “expert” on branded content within the Nine business and promote Nine’s branded content externally, when required. Work closely with other managers under the direction of the Director of Powered Studios to ensure a collaborative approach, and that client service is at the forefront of all decision making. Contribute to Nine's business objectives by assisting with 'go to market' initiatives across the areas of responsibility, and providing advice and input on content when required at varying levels of the business, including trade marketing initiatives. Track jobs to provide content insights to other parts of the Nine business, where required via Monday.com. Weekly WIPS to keep team on track and troubleshoot any issues that arise within the team or with internal and external stakeholders. Fortnightly WIPS with product manager to keep across any site innovations that impact content and provide feedback on campaigns. Work closely with the branded content product manager to assist with any new product relationships i.e. Outbrain or Taboola, and collaborate on any needed product requirements for the branded content team. Work with talent where appropriate to meet client objectives and engage the Nine audience. Be an expert in Nine's audiences and inspire the team with compelling and new content ideas that will attract and engage our readers. Work closely with key internal stakeholders including editors, sales teams, content partnerships, data and product to ensure all content created is original and appropriate for both the client and the relevant masthead and brand. Work closely with key internal stakeholders to secure editorial and social support and ensure all campaigns hit targets, and report on finished campaigns. Report on finished campaigns and assist in providing rationale for case studies and post campaign reports. When required, work on pitch and sold jobs alongside the content producers, attending brainstorms, ideating, creating pitch documents, commissioning stories, processing invoices, editing and publishing content, and amplifying when necessary. Manage a team of content producers across varying levels of seniority – from junior to senior. Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and work closely with each team member to formulate their ‘My Future At Nine’ development plan. Manage leave according to annual leave and volunteer leave entitlements, including communicating the Nine Christmas shutdown period each year. On a case-by-case basis, set up one-on-one WIPs with each team member either weekly or fortnightly depending on individual needs. When required, recruit, hire, and mentor new team members to create a high-performing team. Foster collaboration between branded content team members and other teams within the Studio and Powered. Qualifications 5+ years relevant media experience (editorial and / or commercial content), including leading staff. A deep understanding of the Nine product suite and its audience, and the ability to generate imaginative ideas, copy and content to solve clients' problems and engage the right people. Experience in writing, editing and publishing high-quality online content. Ability to forge strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, with the capability to influence, negotiate and mediate to reach an optimum outcome for all parties. Proven experience in organisational, with strength in planning, time-management and follow-through. Stakeholder management including excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills. An understanding of branded content technology and products such as Outbrain and Taboola.
