Head of Building Services and Engineering
who will be responsible for managing the department and promoting high standards in a positive and supportive culture. This post welcomes applicants with electrical, plumbing or engineering specialisms, as well as a background in education and leadership. As Head of Department, your responsibilities will include quality assurance and quality improvement to ensure consistent high standards of student experience; people management; budget management; data analysis and reporting, and planning and implementing strategy. We are looking for an innovative, proactive individual to join our high performing Curriculum Management Team. The successful candidate will have a positive track record, a genuine passion for driving up standards and a 'can-do' attitude. Up to date industry knowledge and a good understanding of current industry practices are key requirements for this role. We are looking for commitment to excellence, a focus on delivery and clear strategic understanding, as well as an aptitude for a fast-paced, dynamic, Further Education environment. To be successful in this role, you will hold a degree level qualification, or equivalent, or relevant industry experience, and a recognised teaching qualification (DET/PGCE/CertEd). With demonstrable teaching practice at good or outstanding level, you will also have experience of curriculum planning and development and a proven ability to manage and lead a professional team to deliver results.
