Bristol (Hybrid) Do you have a passion for Business Development and delivering growth strategy? The Role As Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for all aspects of business development, identifying and delivering the growth strategy, leading the Business Development function, proactively identifying new market opportunities, and expanding existing client relationships. You will be responsible for developing strong commercial relationships and securing new business in the health sector. Your responsibilities will include: Leading, defining, and expanding the Business Development team Coordinating all bid/contract submissions Providing Executive and Board level assurance of the pipeline and live tenders/proposals Understanding Procurement policies/frameworks Managing a portfolio of accounts to build commercially successful relationships Supporting the creation of deliverable and scalable commercial contracts The Company Our client is a family-owned specialist recovery and accommodation services business in the Southwest, specialising in providing community-based solutions to people with diagnosed mental health conditions or complex, unmet needs. They pride themselves on offering bespoke and individual support and accommodation packages. The Person As Head of Business Development, you will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have significant experience at a senior level in Business Development, particularly in multi-million-pound successful bid development and management in the NHS/Healthcare marketplace. You will possess: Proven leadership and team management ability Awareness and understanding of commissioning processes and landscape Experience working at a senior and influential level with stakeholders Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset Advanced skills in the use of software and the Microsoft 365 package Ideally, you will have experience in a mental health support services environment (or similar) or housing, although this is not essential.
