Job Description

Head of Business Development - Luton - £60,000 - £75,000. I'm thrilled to partner with a fast-growing and progressive business that's made big strides in recent years, doubling its team size and moving to a fantastic site in Luton. This company support with Local Authorities and landlords to offer affordable housing solutions along with a reliable, low-maintenance tenancy service. They are looking for a Head of Business Development to take on a central role, working with their strong network of local authority contacts to drive business growth. Your focus will be on finding new revenue streams and maintaining a high level of service, exploring opportunities to bid on PSLs and frameworks with local authorities beyond the current client base. You will manage a team of business development representatives, providing training, support and guidance. Key Responsibilities Partnership Development: Build and maintain relationships with key partners, including Local Authorities, Social Services, and Homeless Charities, ensuring seamless onboarding and nurturing strong, long-lasting partnerships. End-to-End Business Development: Oversee the complete new business process, from securing opportunities to managing client relationships. Drive revenue growth in line with company targets by actively pursuing tenders, PSLs, and networking opportunities. Client Relationship Management: Assist in managing and expanding current client relationships, enhancing our profile in the sector through targeted awareness and marketing efforts. Strategic Leadership: Work closely with senior management and the board to shape strategy. Apply an entrepreneurial mindset, contributing to scalable, customer-focused processes and long-term goals. Sales & Brand Presence: Create and oversee a targeted regional sales plan to expand brand visibility and market presence. Ensure the company’s services resonate across public and private sectors. Skills & Requirements Sector Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the UK housing sector, especially in social, temporary, and supported housing. Tendering Expertise: Proven experience in pitching, tendering, and managing projects through to completion. Senior Stakeholder Engagement: Effective communicator who excels in building relationships with senior management, purchasing decision-makers, and key client organisations. Resilience & Drive: A proactive approach with a talent for navigating challenges and a determination to push forward business growth.
