England, England, United Kingdom The Head of Business Development is a brand new role and will play a critical role in driving TTC’s sales growth by leading a team of Business Development Managers and Business Development Executives. This individual will be responsible for managing and mentoring the team to achieve sales targets, while also directly contributing to new business generation through personal sales activity. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on sales responsibilities, ensuring the delivery of exceptional value to both new and existing clients and fostering strong relationships across target markets. The role:

Strategic Leadership

Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with TTC’s sales objectives and growth plans. Lead, coach, and inspire a team of Business Development Managers and Executives to deliver against their sales targets and KPIs. Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement within the Business Development team. New Business Generation

Personally identify, target, and secure new business opportunities, contributing directly to sales revenue. Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects, focusing on organizations that align with TTC’s core offerings. Lead high-impact sales presentations, proposals, and negotiations to win new business. Collaborate with the Marketing team to create campaigns that generate leads and support business development efforts. Team Management and Development

Manage the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of Business Development Managers and Executives, ensuring they have the tools and skills needed to succeed. Provide regular coaching, training, and professional development opportunities to the team. Conduct performance reviews, set individual sales goals, and provide actionable feedback to drive improvement. Client and Market Engagement

Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target markets to enhance TTC’s reputation and uncover new opportunities. Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, challenges, and opportunities, using this knowledge to inform strategy and client engagement. Actively participate in industry events, forums, and networking opportunities to represent TTC and build its market presence. Collaboration and Alignment

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Operations, and Account Management teams, to align efforts and deliver a seamless client experience. Ensure effective use of the HubSpot CRM system to track sales activity, manage the pipeline, and provide accurate reporting. Provide insights and feedback from clients and prospects to inform product development and strategic planning. Performance Monitoring and Reporting

Analyse sales data to identify trends, successes, and areas for improvement, implementing changes as needed. Report regularly to the Private Sector Director on team performance, pipeline health, and progress toward strategic objectives. About you:

Strong ability to inspire, lead, and develop teams to achieve high performance. Sales Expertise:

Proven track record in new business development and sales leadership, including the ability to meet and exceed sales targets. Strategic Thinking:

Ability to design and implement sales strategies that align with business goals and drive long-term growth. Relationship Management:

Exceptional interpersonal skills for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Commercial Acumen:

Strong understanding of financial and business principles, with the ability to develop compelling value propositions. Data-Driven Decision-Making:

Skilled in analysing sales data and using insights to improve performance. Industry Knowledge:

Familiarity with compliance, risk management and fleet solutions within TTC’s target sectors. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales leadership roles, preferably within a similar industry. Proven experience managing teams and achieving revenue growth. Proficiency in CRM software (preferably HubSpot) and other sales management tools. Why you'll love us:
