A leading organisation in the Bristol area requires a Head of Capacity Management and FinOps to join its growing team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the company's IT resources are effectively aligned with business demands, delivering scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient solutions. Ideal candidates will have the following: Knowledge of IT Infrastructure Management of Opex cost centres - both FTEs and supplier Opex cost. Business planning experience and the ability to forecast cost for budget cycles. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to keep reports updated on strategic initiatives by means of written updates, stand up Town Halls and presentations. Knowledge of service governance processes and the ability to understand risk to services. ITIL knowledge and experience of working within ITIL aligned organisations. Experience of managing and optimising cloud costs Thorough understanding of cost optimisation and financial budget management Experienced in monitoring and reporting performance against ESG strategies and standards Key Responsibilities: Analysing and predicting future IT Infrastructure capacity needs based on business growth, usage trends, and technological advancements. Overseeing IT Infrastructure capacity planning for servers, storage, networking, database, licences and other infrastructure components. Analysing capacity usage data, generating reports, and presenting findings to senior management. Identifying opportunities to enhance reporting quality, grow the scope and coverage of capacity observability and improve capacity reporting. Using data-driven insights to recommend and implement changes to improve capacity utilization and efficiency. Identifying potential capacity-related risks and developing mitigation strategies to prevent performance issues or service disruptions.
