I am currently representing Westminster Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience.
We are looking for a
Head of Capital Programmes . This role will be: Hybrid Working SW1E6QP.
The right candidate will:
Lead the delivery of the £35m annual capital programme, including:
Window and roof renewals. Fire prevention upgrades. Kitchen and bathroom replacements.
Manage a team of around 25 professionals, driving performance and delivering excellence in programme execution. Oversee contracts with two primary contractors: Axis Europe and United Living. Ensure compliance with the RIBA process from inception to completion, including commissioning, contract letting, on-site works, and final sign-off. We require the following:
Extensive experience in managing large-scale capital programmes, ideally within housing or property management. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams. Proficiency in contract management and working with external contractors.
