Job summary The division of Medicine and Therapies in LNWUH Trust is seeking an experienced leader with extensive cardiac physiology diagnostic experience to be its new Head of Cardiology Diagnostic Services. This role will provide expert professional, clinical and strategic leadership of Cardiology Diagnostics, across the London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust hospitals, including Northwick Park Hospital, Ealing Hospital, Central Middlesex Hospital, and Ealing Community Diagnostic Centre. Main duties of the job The role of the Head of Cardiac Diagnostic Department involves a range of responsibilities focused on managing and overseeing the department's operations. These responsibilities ensure the provision of smooth operation of the Cardiac diagnostic department and provision of a high quality, evidence-based service for all invasive and non-invasive diagnostic testing for Cardiology. Central Middlesex Hospital: our planned care site, hosting a range of surgical and outpatient services and collocated with an urgent care centre. Person Specification Education/ qualifications Essential BSc in the field of technical cardiology Member of Registration Council of Clinical Physiologists Desirable Management qualification Knowledge and experience Essential Experience of budget management/financial management. Experience of quality or service improvement. Experience of working in a complex and challenging environment. Desirable Experience of working with NHS commissioning team. Skills, abilities and attributes Essential Ability to flexibly and effectively lead a department on multiple sites. Ability to positively influence and lead teams. Desirable Project and change management skills.
