We are looking for a dedicated and experienced

Head of Care (RGN)

to join our client's team at their specialist rehabilitation service. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and proactive leader, committed to delivering exceptional person-centred care. This role involves overseeing nursing staff, coordinating care plans, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment for both residents and team members.

The service provides support and rehabilitation for adults recovering from brain injuries, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives.

What we're looking for: Registered General Nurse (RGN) Qualification : With a valid and clear UK NMC Pin. Leadership Experience : Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting, such as a Ward Manager or managing a large team. Mentorship Qualification : Possess a mentorship qualification, with the ability to guide and develop staff. Specialised Experience : Experience working with individuals with acquired brain injuries or neurological conditions is desirable.

Key Responsibilities Lead and Manage Nursing Staff : Lead, manage, and support a team of nursing staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. Mentorship and Role Modelling : Act as a mentor and role model, fostering a culture of diversity, equality, and inclusion. Care Plan Development : Develop, implement, and regularly review care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Care Plan Adherence : Ensure care plans meet the needs and preferences of residents while adhering to best practices. Medication and Treatment Oversight : Oversee the administration of medications and treatments, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Clinical Standards Monitoring : Monitor and maintain high standards of clinical care in line with healthcare regulations. Collaboration with Stakeholders : Work closely with healthcare professionals, residents, families, and external agencies to deliver holistic and coordinated care. Team and Stakeholder Communication : Promote strong communication within the team and with external stakeholders to support seamless care delivery.
