About Us Based at the welcoming Muswell Hill Synagogue, our Cheder provides an engaging and meaningful Jewish education for children in school years 1–6. Meeting on Sunday mornings during term time, our programme offers a mix of excitement and structure, ensuring our students learn and grow in a fun and supportive environment. Your Role As Headteacher, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of Muswell Hill Cheder. Reporting to the Cheder Governors, you’ll lead a committed team of teachers and assistants, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. You’ll oversee curriculum development, inspire staff, and connect with the broader synagogue community to enhance the Cheder experience. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management : Guide and support our teaching team, ensuring professional growth and positive outcomes for pupils. Performance & Communication : Assess staff performance, liaise with synagogue leadership, and keep the community informed of progress. Curriculum Development : Design and refine a dynamic curriculum, including a strong Hebrew reading programme. Events & Community Engagement : Organise special events, encourage family participation in synagogue life, and lead memorable assemblies. Resource Planning : Ensure teaching materials are well-suited to pupils’ needs and readily available. Parental Communication : Maintain strong connections with parents and welcome new families to our community. Why Join Us?
