To support the Care Group MD to provide leadership and strategic direction of the Care Group and its Community Children’s Services, ensuring the delivery of high quality safe, effective, harm-free person-centred care consistent with the Trust values. The Head of Community Child Health and CYP Therapy Service is responsible for professional and operational leadership of AHPs, including devising, implementing and reviewing strategies for the development of clinical practice, education, management, and quality issues. This role acts as the delegated lead for safety, quality and patient experience, responsible for development and application of systems, control processes, and risk management arrangements that ensure full compliance with internal and external governance procedures and to benchmark against best practice requirements. The post holder is required to maintain clinical credibility by spending a minimum of 20% of their time in clinical practice. Provide a visible, authoritative, and effective presence for AHP teams for assistance, guidance, support, and an effective role model for staff. To achieve this overall objective, the Care Group Head of Community Child Health and CYP Therapy will work closely with the Care Group Operational Director to: Main duties of the job

Ensure that Community Child Health Services has robust operational plans that deliver high quality care to patients/children and to agreed standards and levels of activity. Model and embed a culture within Community Child Health Services that is consistent with Trust values. Lead AHP innovation, use of technology and quality improvement initiatives to meet the changing needs of patients and service users. Be accountable for the budget ensuring the resource is used effectively, contributing to continuous improvement and realization of benefits within financial cost improvement savings. Ensure that Community Child Health Services have sustainable workforce plans that recruit the highest quality staff and retain staff through developing and motivating the current workforce. Ensure the highest standards of clinical and corporate governance, ensuring that Community Child Health Services operate within Trust governance, risk, and patient safety frameworks. Develop strategies for the future provision of services in partnership with key stakeholders, including quality and productivity improvements through technology, innovation, and research. Engage staff in service improvement and ensure they understand how their role aligns with the Care Group and Trust objectives. Develop AHP standards consistent with Trust strategies. Qualifications

Masters or other post-graduate qualification or relevant on-job experience. Evidence of significant experience and training in professional leadership. HCPC registration. Experience

Demonstrable track record of influencing clinical staff and colleagues to deliver targets and changes in working practice whilst maintaining effective working relationships. Demonstrable success in delivering effective services as a senior manager. Evidence of system-level clinical and professional strategic leadership. Skills

Able to develop and lead teams to produce high-quality results. Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners. The ability to converse easily and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for all customer-facing roles.
