Job Title - Head of Compensation & Benefits

Salary - £90,000 - £100,000 plus bonus

Length - Permanent, Hybrid.

Location - The City - London

DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to.
  • Develop and implement a compensation and benefits strategy aligned with business goals and tailored to UK & European markets.
  • Conduct market benchmarking and ensure competitive pay structures, staying ahead of benefit trends to enhance employee value.
  • Conduct job evaluations and salary surveys.
  • Lead job evaluation and grading processes, maintaining role consistency, pay equity, and supporting career progression.
  • Collaborate with payroll teams to ensure seamless integration of pay and benefits, addressing compliance and operational challenges.
  • Address employee queries regarding compensation and benefits.
  • Manage and deliver key HR projects, driving process improvements and leveraging data for decision making.
  • Supervise and mentor one direct report, fostering development and aligning efforts with broader HR initiatives.
  • Prepare and present insights on compensation budgets, benefits uptake, and strategic impact to senior leadership.

PROFILE

To be considered for this role, you must:
  • Proven ability to develop strategies tailored to the UK & European markets.
  • Strong skills in ensuring competitive pay structures and staying ahead of benefits trends.
  • Experience conducting job evaluations and salary surveys to maintain pay equity.
  • Ability to lead job grading processes and support career progression.
  • Expertise in integrating pay and benefits with payroll teams while ensuring compliance.
  • Ability to resolve employee queries regarding compensation and benefits.
  • Proven experience in managing HR projects and driving process improvements.
  • Ability to mentor and guide a direct report.
  • Experience preparing and presenting compensation and benefits reports to senior leadership.
