An Architectural Consultancy with an incredible culture where everyone is accessible and works together as a seamless team with a strong focus on giving back to charities and community, is looking for a Head of Compliance. The role is open due to impending retirement and comes with a transitioning period to upskill and get up to speed with a wealth of knowledge and skills available to support during your career change. This role will be hybrid with 3 days office-based in Chesterfield and 2 days from home.

The long-term goal for this role is to build a team to support the growth of the business, helping them to achieve their goals, supporting on £multi-million projects. Your role is to head up the compliance side of the business with pre-construction expertise across Principal Designer, CDM, Upholding Accreditations, Health & Safety, Pre-Qualification Documents, Building Regulations, and Training. This is a pivotal role within the business and requires someone with a good understanding of the construction process to work with the architects to spot improvements during the design stage and make amendments to keep the build and maintenance of the building as safe as possible.

Any skill gaps can be trained through additional qualifications or coaching from a highly experienced safety and compliance professional currently in the role as part of their retirement exit plan. You will be set up for success.

Ideal experience for the Head of Compliance role:

Must be CMIOSH (cannot consider anyone without this). Must understand the construction cycle and process. Able to read drawings and work with architects to make safety improvements. Previous experience with Principal Designer / CDM responsibilities. Be a member of APS. Would be great if you have any of the following: CSCS card, asbestos knowledge, construction qualifications, environmental qualifications, fire knowledge or qualifications.

You will receive a salary of £50-60,000 plus £5,500 car allowance, bonus scheme, healthcare, and other benefits.
