Required for April or September 2025, full-time. Tormead School is an academically selective independent school for 800 girls aged 4–18, located in central Guildford. Students attain excellent examination results with 95% attaining grade A*-B at A Level and 89% attaining a grade 7-9 at GCSE in 2024. Computer Science is a growing department and a popular subject at iGCSE and A Level. The department has a strong track record of success and has achieved excellent results. The Head of Computer Science has overall responsibility for leading the department and ensuring high standards of teaching, learning and achievement, and the creative development of the Computer Science Curriculum at Tormead. Candidates will have a firm grasp of curricular developments, inspire high standards in the classroom, have a warm approach, and will show enthusiasm for wider involvement in the School’s rich co-curricular programme. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work harmoniously with others, including students, colleagues, parents, and the wider community.
