The Risk and Excellence team are currently hiring for an ambitious and experienced Head of Conflicts to join their friendly and supportive team. As an experienced, dynamic, regulatory and compliance professional, the Head of Conflicts will sit amongst the leadership team of Risk and Excellence, reporting into the Head of Regulatory. The person will be managing and advising the business regarding regulatory, legal and commercial conflicts of interest globally across the Group. This person will be a trusted adviser and critical voice for not only the Risk and Excellence leadership team, but the wider Group as a whole. We are happy for the ideal candidate to be based at any DWF location in England (Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle or Southampton) as we can offer a flexible, hybrid work approach. Responsibilities

Lead the Group Conflicts team, liaising closely with Group Legal, Risk and Excellence and Operations to oversee and implement policies, procedures and effective controls to ensure the Group complies with regulatory, legal and commercial conflicts standards. Play an active part in the continuing growth of an integrated group function and assist with the group's growth strategy. Advise on processes and plans to resolve the most complex conflicts and issues, working closely with the Head of Regulatory to ensure all regulatory rules are complied with while balancing the Group's commercial and strategic plans. Act as an escalation point for the group in areas of conflicts issues. Chair the Group Commercial Conflicts Committee and work closely with committee members in ensuring appropriate governance and process is afforded the Committee. Initiate escalation requests to leadership in connection with commercial conflicts. Coordinate and support Divisional CEO-level discussions and gather all relevant information to assist decision-making. Assist the Senior Data Manager in the continued rollout of the conflicts system across the group and take a senior role in discussions with the software supplier and internal stakeholders such as the IT Development/Change Management teams. What will help you succeed in this role?

Essential Requirements

Significant conflicts experience including experience at a managerial level, preferably from within a large regional or international law firm. Sound knowledge of the professional regulatory requirements impacting on the jurisdictions in which the Group operates and experience of dealing directly with regulators at a senior level. Demonstrable experience of working successfully across multiple geographies, where US experience is important. The Group covers extensive jurisdictions across the Globe. Commercial awareness and a creative mind with an ability to understand broader business issues. Desirable Requirements

A track record of working in a dynamic and fast-paced business with a rapid growth agenda and a proven ability to successfully juggle multiple competing priorities effectively. Demonstrable experience of Professional Services and/or Financial Services. What we offer?
